Aconite N. When due to cold dry wind it is the first remedy- to be tried. Numbness and tingling of parts^ especially lips. Restlessness. If it does not prove efficacious, try the follow­ing.

 

Causticum. Paralysis from exposure to cold wind or draught after typhoid, typhus or diphtheria.

Rhus Tax. Paralysis from exposure to cold wind or draught after typhoid, typhus or diphtheria.

 

Kali chlor. It is indicated when there is tenderness of the part affected.

 

Cocculus Ind. When there is neuralgia, twitching and numbness of the face accompanied by paralysis.

 

Graphites. With swelling, sensation as of a cobweb on the face.

 

Sulphur. Should be tried as an intercurrent remedy.

 

Alumina. Sensation of a cobweb or white of egg or of dried blood on the face.

 

Allium Cepa. Paralysis of the left half of the face ; also of the limbs of the same side. Copious flow of urine.

 

Hypericum. Paralysis due to Injury to the nerves.
